Applysent vs Simplify

Last updated 4 min read

Pick Simplify if you are happy to open each application yourself and want a free browser extension that autofills forms on a very wide range of career sites, with a tracker built in. Pick Applysent if you want the applications found, tailored and submitted for you, with an approval step you control and more than 20 automated applications a week, accepting that it supports 10 hiring systems rather than any career site.

Our position

We make Applysent, so weigh this comparison accordingly. Simplify facts are taken from simplify.jobs and its help centre on 10 October 2026; its Chrome Web Store page did not load for us, so we have not relied on it beyond the systems it names.

Simplify is really two products. Copilot is a free extension that fills in forms while you watch and press submit. Autopilot is a newer beta, open to a subset of Simplify+ members, that submits for you. Applysent is closest to Autopilot, so most of this page compares against that, while giving Copilot its due.

How each one works

Simplify Copilot and Autopilot

With Copilot, you browse to a job, open the application, and click autofill. The extension fills what it can from your profile, you check and finish the form, and the application is saved to Simplify's tracker. It is free and gives you full control of every submission.

Autopilot goes further: it opens the company's application, fills it in and submits it, but only where it supports the application system. Its help centre is direct that there is no step where you review first, and that it fails rather than guesses when unsure. Credits are 20 a week, reset weekly with no rollover, and more cannot be bought yet.

Applysent

Applysent does the searching too. It matches roles from supported hiring systems against your résumé and filters, tailors your résumé, completes the form including custom questions, and either waits for your approval or sends automatically if you turn on Autopilot. You can read the full flow on how it works.

Pros and cons

Simplify strengths

  • Copilot is free and works across a very wide range of career sites, by its own description.
  • You see and submit every Copilot application yourself.
  • Simplify+ has the same features on every billing period.
  • Autopilot credits are not spent on failed attempts.
  • Job listings in ten countries, including the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Germany and India.

Simplify limitations

  • Copilot still needs you to find each job and click through each form.
  • Autopilot is a beta for some Simplify+ members only, limited to 20 a week, with no review step.
  • No list of hiring systems that Autopilot supports.
  • Payments are non-refundable once a subscription is active, per its help centre.

Applysent strengths

  • Finds and applies, rather than filling forms you open.
  • Choice of review before sending or automatic sending, switchable at any time.
  • Receipt showing every field submitted.
  • Named list of live and coming hiring systems.

Applysent limitations

  • Ten hiring systems live, far narrower than Copilot's reach.
  • No browser extension, so it cannot help on a site it does not support.
  • Does not apply through Indeed or LinkedIn Easy Apply.
  • Paid pricing not announced, and no public track record yet.

Autofill or auto-apply: which do you need?

If your problem is retyping the same details into forms, an autofill extension like Copilot solves it for free. If your problem is finding enough suitable roles and getting through dozens of forms each week, you need something that searches and submits. Our guide on auto-apply vs autofill extensions sets out the trade-offs.

Some people use both: an extension for the handful of dream roles they want to fill by hand, and an auto-apply tool for the wider net. If you are aiming for higher weekly volume, read how to apply to 100 jobs a week first.

Who should pick which

  • Simplify Copilot: you want a free helper, you prefer to choose and submit every application, and you apply on many different career sites.
  • Simplify Autopilot: you already pay for Simplify+, have beta access, and around 20 automatic applications a week is enough.
  • Applysent: you want matching, tailoring and submission handled for you, with an optional approval step and a full record, on companies using one of its 10 live systems, such as Workable, Greenhouse or Lever.
