Applysent vs Sorce
Last updated 5 min read
Pick Sorce if you are on an iPhone and want to swipe through jobs in short sessions, with a free daily allowance that already includes auto-apply and a tailored résumé and cover letter. Pick Applysent if you want to use any device through the browser, set hard filters such as a salary floor or sponsorship, and see a receipt naming the hiring system and every answer sent, accepting that Applysent is invite-only and has not announced pricing yet.
Disclosure and sources
We make Applysent, so weigh this comparison accordingly. Sorce facts come from sorce.jobs, its pricing article, its App Store listing and its Y Combinator profile, checked 10 October 2026. Its /terms and /privacy pages returned errors when we checked, so we could not review them.

How each one works
Sorce
Sorce calls itself Tinder for jobs. You open the iPhone app, see one role at a time, and swipe right on the ones you want. Its AI agent then applies on your behalf, including filling the form, uploading your documents and answering screening questions. Swiping left skips the role.
The free tier is not a trial: per its pricing article you get 40 swipes a day indefinitely, and paid plans raise that cap. It launched in August 2024 and is backed by Y Combinator.
Applysent
Applysent starts from rules rather than gestures. You set titles, contract type, workplace, countries and cities, salary floor, seniority and sponsorship once, and it only scores and applies to roles inside them. On a phone you can still swipe through matches in the web app, but the filters do the first pass.
Each application leaves a receipt showing which system it went to and what was written in every box. That record is useful later when an employer calls and you need to remember what you said. Our guide on how to track job applications covers why that matters.
Pros and cons for each tool
What Sorce does well
- A simple, quick way to decide on jobs: one card, one swipe.
- A real free tier with daily swipes that never expires, and it already includes tailoring and cover letters.
- Low-cost credit packs if you only need a few more applications, from $2.99 for 25 (checked October 2026).
- Established in the market since 2024.
Where Sorce falls short
- iPhone only; no Android, web app or extension was found.
- No hiring systems or countries named, so you cannot check coverage in advance.
- No stated review step beyond the swipe itself.
- Refund terms and the cap on paid daily swipes are not stated.
What Applysent does well
- Works in any modern browser on phone or desktop.
- Names exactly which hiring systems it supports.
- Optional review mode where you can edit the tailored résumé or any answer before sending.
- Automatic refund of failed submissions, shown on the receipt.
- A dedicated application email address, if you want employer replies kept separate.
Where Applysent falls short
- BambooHR and Paylocity are not live yet, and there is no LinkedIn Easy Apply or Indeed.
- No price list yet for paid plans.
- No native iOS or Android app.
- Newer than Sorce, with no public track record.
Swiping versus filtering: which suits you?
Swiping is fast and pleasant when you are browsing with no fixed plan. It is less suited to strict criteria, because each decision rests on a short card. If you need sponsorship or a minimum salary, a filter that removes ineligible roles before you see them saves effort. Our guide to visa-sponsoring jobs explains how to judge that from a posting.
Neither approach is wrong. The question is whether you want to make each call yourself in the moment, or set the rules once and approve the results.
Who should pick which
Sorce fits an iPhone user who likes to job-hunt in spare minutes, wants tailored documents at no cost to start, and does not need to know in advance which hiring systems or countries are covered.
Applysent fits someone on Android or a laptop, someone with firm requirements such as remote-only or a salary floor, or anyone who wants a written receipt of every submission. If remote roles abroad are your focus, the location and workplace filters do most of the sorting for you.
Frequently asked questions
Is Sorce free?
Yes, per its pricing article: 40 swipes a day with no end date, including auto-apply and tailored documents. Paid options raise the daily cap.
Is Sorce available on Android?
Its site and App Store listing show iOS only, and we found no Android app. A web app that runs in any phone browser is one alternative.
Can I swipe on Applysent too?
Yes. Applysent's web app lets you swipe through matches on a phone, after your filters have removed roles that do not fit.
Which hiring systems does Sorce apply on?
Sorce's site says it applies on career sites but does not name any hiring system. Applysent lists Lever, SmartRecruiters, Ashby, Workable, Recruitee, Greenhouse, Workday, Oracle Recruiting Cloud, Teamtailor and JazzHR as live today.
What does Sorce cost if I pay?
Its App Store page lists a 1-week option at $14.99, a 1-month pass at $39.99 and credit packs from $2.99, checked October 2026.
