AIApply alternatives worth trying in 2026
Last updated 5 min read
Tsenta is the strongest AIApply alternative if you want tailored résumés and cover letters included on every plan and a named list of hiring systems. Applysent suits people who want tailoring plus a field-by-field receipt and a strict review mode, while Jobbie, Simplify and Sorce cover high volume, hands-on autofill and phone-first swiping respectively.
Why people look for an alternative to AIApply
AIApply is a broad suite from a UK company: Auto Apply, a résumé builder, cover letters, mock interviews, live interview coaching, a résumé scanner and a job board. Its Auto Apply has three sensible modes, Auto, Hybrid (automatic at a fit score of 75 or more) and Review. The facts that push people to compare are mostly about cost structure and transparency.
- Tailoring costs extra. Per its help centre, a tailored résumé and a tailored cover letter are each a $12/mo add-on to Auto Apply, which starts at $49/mo for 100 applications, $99/mo for 250 or $199 per quarter for 750 (checked October 2026).
- Prices are not on the pricing page. The public /pricing page shows no prices; the Auto Apply figures are in a help article, and the Premium subscription price is not shown publicly.
- Unnamed hiring systems. No ATS or job board is named, and unsupported systems are skipped.
- Mechanism not stated. The site and help centre do not say how applications are submitted.
- Narrow refund rules. Fees are generally non-refundable, with exceptions for verified technical issues and accidental purchases reported within 30 minutes. Failed or unsupported applications use no credit.

Tsenta: tailoring included from the free plan
Tsenta tailors a résumé and cover letter for each role on every tier, free included. It names 19 hiring systems on its pricing page, from Workday and Greenhouse to iCIMS and SmartRecruiters. Starter is $19/mo for 600 applications per 30-day cycle, and applications that never reach the employer are returned to your allowance.
Best match if: you are paying AIApply's add-ons and want the same output bundled at a lower list price.
Applysent: tailoring with a written record
Applysent rewrites your résumé for each role's wording without adding experience you do not have, and writes a short cover letter only when the form asks for one. Every submission has a receipt showing where it went, each field filled in and the text of every free-text answer. Its review mode works like AIApply's: nothing goes out until you approve it. Autopilot is there when you want it.
Be aware of the gaps. Pricing has not been announced. BambooHR and Paylocity are not live yet, it does not use LinkedIn Easy Apply or Indeed, and there is no interview coaching or native app. It is a new product with no public reviews yet.
Best match if: you care more about checking what was sent than about extra career tools.
Jobbie: volume and Indeed in one plan
Jobbie's web plan is $29.99/mo for 1,000 applications a month and includes résumé tailoring. It names its systems (Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, Ashby, Paylocity, JazzHR, Workable, BambooHR) and adds Indeed through a connected account. There is no free tier and the trial needs a card; review-before-submit is an optional setting.
Best match if: you want far more applications per dollar than AIApply's entry plan.
Simplify: free autofill, paid tailoring
Simplify's Copilot extension is free and fills forms when you click. Simplify+ ($39.99/month) includes tailored résumés, cover letters and answers to open-ended questions, with no add-ons and the same features on every billing period. Its Autopilot beta, available to some Simplify+ members, submits up to 20 applications a week without a review step.
Best match if: you mostly used AIApply for documents and are happy to submit forms yourself.
Sorce: a free tier with tailoring
Sorce's free tier gives 40 swipes a day with auto-apply and a tailored résumé and cover letter, which AIApply charges for. It is iPhone-only, and its site names no hiring systems or countries.
Best match if: you have an iPhone and want to try automated applying at no cost.
A quick checklist for choosing
- Add up the full monthly cost including any tailoring add-ons, not just the headline plan.
- Ask whether the tool names the hiring systems it supports, and whether your target employers use them.
- Check that tailoring never invents skills. Our guide to tailoring your résumé for each job explains what good tailoring looks like.
- Make sure you can see the cover letter or answers that were sent. See cover letters on application forms.
- Look at failed-application handling and the refund window before paying.
Frequently asked questions
Does AIApply include résumé tailoring?
On Auto Apply, tailored résumés and cover letters are paid add-ons at $12/mo each, according to its help centre in October 2026.
Which AIApply alternative includes tailoring for free?
Tsenta includes a tailored résumé and cover letter on its free plan, and Sorce does on its free daily swipes.
Does AIApply have a review mode?
Yes. Review Mode requires your approval for every job suggestion, and Hybrid mode only auto-sends at a fit score of 75 or higher.
Which alternative has interview coaching like AIApply?
None of the alternatives on this page lists mock interviews or live coaching. If interview prep matters most, AIApply's suite is hard to replace with a single tool.
Is Applysent cheaper than AIApply?
We can't say yet, because Applysent has not announced pricing. For now it is invite-only: join the waitlist, or use an access code if you have one. Plans will differ only by volume.
