Job Summary
Job Description
What is the focus of the role?
As a Transformation Delivery Senior Specialist, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of transformation initiatives and broader programs across Telstra Enterprise. You will turn plans into production outcomes, coordinate complex workstreams and help the team deliver its quarterly roadmap commitments.
You will work across internal Telstra Enterprise teams, Networks, Products & Technology, Data & AI and other enabling groups, as well as strategic partner Infosys, vendors and external customers. You will manage day-to-day delivery challenges, dependencies, risks and priorities across transformation and ESM-related initiatives.
This is a delivery-focused role for someone who can hit the ground running with minimal onboarding. Success will require strong execution discipline, sound judgement and the confidence to solve problems independently in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.
Key Accountabilities:
Transformation Delivery and Milestone Assurance
- Own and assure delivery of multiple technology transformation milestones committed under the partnership, ensuring outcomes are delivered on time, within scope, and to agreed quality standards.
- Translate transformation objectives and contractual commitments into clear, actionable delivery plans, aligned to PMO governance and reporting standards.
- Track progress against agreed plans, proactively identifying slippage, emerging risks, or delivery constraints, and driving corrective actions.
- Ensure dependencies and sequencing across workstreams are clearly defined, visible, and actively managed end‑to‑end.
Dependency and Interlock Management
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive dependency map covering all internal and external interlocks required to deliver transformation outcomes.
- Actively manage dependencies across: IT / Technology platforms and services, Product and Service Portfolio, Data & AI, GN&T, Cyber, Architecture, and other enterprise enabling teams
- Facilitate cross‑functional forums and working sessions to resolve dependency clashes, prioritisation conflicts, and resource constraints.
- Ensure ownership of dependencies is clear, actions are tracked, and delivery risks are escalated through appropriate governance pathways when required.
PMO Governance and Reporting
- Provide accurate, timely, and insight‑driven reporting into PMO including Milestone status, Risks and issues, Dependency health and Key decisions required
- Ensure alignment to agreed governance structures, escalation paths, and decision rights
Partner and Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders across Technology, Product, Data & AI, GN&T, and Operations.
- Facilitate joint planning, design, and assurance activities to ensure seamless collaboration between internal teams and Infosys delivery units.
- Drive a “one‑team” culture across the partnership while maintaining clear accountability and governance boundaries.
Risk, Issue and Change Management
- Proactively identify, assess, and manage delivery risks and issues across technology transformation streams you are accountable for.
- Maintain and govern risk and issue registers, ensuring mitigation plans are robust, owned, and actively executed.
- Support controlled change management by assessing the impact of scope or priority changes on milestones, dependencies, and contractual commitments.
- Escalate material risks and decisions with clear options and recommendations
Qualifications:
Essential
- Proven end-to-end project, program or transformation delivery experience, with accountability for a defined program, stream or scope of work.
- Hands-on experience using Telstra’s eSOW to plan, govern and deliver initiatives
- Strong Jira capability, including planning, managing and tracking delivery in Agile environments.
- Exceptional stakeholder management across internal teams, strategic partners, vendors and customers.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity, resolve delivery challenges and work independently.
- Excellent multitasking and prioritisation skills across concurrent initiatives and quarterly delivery commitments.
- Ability to contribute from day one with minimal onboarding or upskilling.
Desirable
- Experience working with Data, AI, Service Management, or core enterprise platforms.
- Familiarity with large‑scale outsourcing or managed service transition models.
- Experience operating in environments with formal contractual and regulatory obligations
