Senior Engineer

1.Develop production line design based on initial demand forecast by communicating with Chery Corporation Malaysia / China & Inokom Corporations Sdn Bhd team.

2.Establish process sequence from start to finish for all sections by comparing with SOP / WI, BOM and Packing List provided by Chery Corporation Malaysia / China.

3.Establish Master Part List for all stations & sections by comparing with BOM and Packing List provided by Chery Corporation Malaysia / China.

4.Responsible to identify material type listed in BOM eg Big / Medium / Small / Standard part and generate database to be visualised in Master Part List.

5.Responsible to prepare and update SOP / WI, MPL, list of tools & equipment, parameter & value and SDS to every station in production line.

6.Develop, configure and optimize production processes from strip and rebuild activity through to pilot run and hand over to production.

7.Lead and responsible for pilot run / new model launch / improvement / sample making / trial run activity, to trace and report daily for main activity, achievement, obstacle and next plan.

8.Draft and design layout of station, tool & equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency.

9.Responsible to advice, analyze and prepare tool & equipment (parameter & value) needed for overall production plant.

10.Responsible to manage, coordinate and plan for tools and equipment calibration.

11.Responsible for process improvement and kaizen activity.

12.Responsible to discuss and communicate closely with vendors, staff, and management personnel regarding purchases, procedures, product specifications, manufacturing capabilities, and project status including Chery Corporation Malaysia / China.

13.Responsible for tools / equipment / item purchasing, record keeping and tracing for Chery Production Plant.

14.Develop and implement process efficiency measurements by preparing cycle time study and operator balance chart. Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine production processes, head count requirements, and production standards.

15.Lead lean manufacturing and lead time reduction activities to improve quality.

16.Responsible for Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA).

17.Responsible for case study (production issues / customer complaint / abnormality / incident), by providing initial / one page / 8D report (based on request).

18.Responsible for train and retrain production / others section related to process, assemble, rework & repair, tool & equipment handling.

19.Maintain quality of assembled parts by communicating with Quality Assurance team.

20.Reponsible for Standard Operation Procedure / Work Instruction / One Point Lesson / Single Point Lesson / Equipment Parameters preparation or registration.

21.Responsible for consumable direct and indirect list and usage in production line.

22.Responsible to get SDS for all consumable direct & indirect.

23.Responsible for Process Engineering department documents making and registration to Inokom Corporations Sdn Bhd team (EDMS / QMS / MPC, etc).

24.Responsible for justification paper making for any new / adhoc projects.

25.Resolves non-standard problems, works with minimal supervision, and can adjust to rapidly changing priorities.

26.Additional duties as assigned by the Management.
