Role Title Content Design Lead Sub Function/ Vertical/ Department Capability/EMMC/Enterprise Band M2 Reports to Role (Position No) VP - Enterprise Capability Location Mumbai Job Description Job Purpose Lead enterprise learning content strategy, instructional design, digital learning ecosystem and capability operations to build scalable, engaging and business-aligned learning experiences Key Accountabilities / Key Result Areas 1. Learning Content Design Design role-based learning curricula. Develop blended learning solutions. Build instructional architecture for enterprise capability. 2. Instructional Design Develop classroom content, e-learning, microlearning and digital assets. Apply adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies. Ensure learning effectiveness and learner engagement. 3. Digital Learning Manage LMS, digital learning journeys and learning technologies. Drive AI-enabled learning and digital adoption. Manage content repository and knowledge platforms. 4. Capability Operations Manage learning administration and governance. Track nominations, certifications and compliance. Ensure operational excellence. 5. Learning Analytics Develop capability dashboards. Analyze learner engagement and effectiveness. Generate business insights through learning data. 6. Content Governance Maintain quality, consistency and version control. Ensure content relevance and periodic updates. Manage content lifecycle. 7. Vendor Management Manage content design partners and digital learning vendors. Ensure timely delivery and quality standards. Optimize external partner performance. Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience, Technical / Professional Qualifications Core Competencies Strong knowledge of instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, curriculum design, blended learning, microlearning, and learning journey development Proven experience in designing and developing classroom, e-learning, video, simulations and digital learning content, with proficiency in LMS administration and authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Vyond, Rise, etc.) Experience in managing content lifecycle, quality assurance, version control, learning operations, certification administration, and learning analytics. Working knowledge of learning technologies, AI-enabled content development, digital learning platforms, learner experience design, and emerging learning trends. Ability to work with business SMEs, training teams, and external vendors to translate business requirements into high-quality learning solutions while managing multiple projects and timelines. Education: Bachelor's or Master’s in Human Resources, Business Administration, Mass Communication, L&D or related field (mandatory) Certifications in Instructional Design, eLearning Development, or Learning Technologies are required Experience: 5–7 years of experience in instructional design, digital learning, or learning content development Technical/Professional Qualification: Exposure to digital learning platforms and content authoring tools (Articulate, Vyond SCORM etc.) Key Performance Indicators (Max 5) Learning Content Library Digital Learning Journeys LMS Governance Capability Dashboards Learning Analytics Content Governance Learning Operations Excellence Vodafone Idea Limited (formerly Idea Cellular Limited) An Aditya Birla Group & Vodafone partnership
