Senior / Laboratory Officer - DNADL

[What the role is]

As a member of the Biology Division, you will contribute to both laboratory operations and digital transformation initiatives. Beyond supporting forensic casework examination and routine laboratory activities, you will play a key role in enhancing laboratory information systems, developing digital solutions, streamlining workflows, and implementing automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency, data integrity and user experience.

[What you will be working on]

• Support forensic laboratory operations, including evidence examination, sample processing and laboratory administration.
• Administer and support laboratory information systems (LIMS) and related digital platforms.
• Develop and implement digital, automation and data analytics solutions to improve laboratory operations.
• Assist in the development, validation and implementation of new laboratory technologies, methods and digital capabilities.
• Contribute to laboratory improvement, innovation and digital transformation initiatives.

[What we are looking for]

• Background in Biology/Biomedical Science/ Biotechnology/ Life Sciences or a related discipline.
• Interest or experience in laboratory information systems, digital technologies, process automation or data analytics.
• Familiarity with tools such as SharePoint, Microsoft Power Platform, SQL, Python, Power BI or similar platforms would be advantageous.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask.
• Self-motivated, adaptable and able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
