With a parent company boasting more than 80 years of engineering expertise, we are proud to bring Nordic engineering heritage to the region blending cutting-edge technology with a longstanding tradition of quality and reliability.We are now looking for a Senior Project Engineer to execute projects and support bids in Abu Dhabi - UAE.Reports ToThe Senior Project Engineer reports to Manager of Projects.Responsibilities and Duties<ul><li>Assists Project Managers in the execution of Projects</li><li>Participate in Project review meetings, HSE Workshops, Design review meetings, etc</li><li>Monitors work in progress and prepares weekly report of the status of each assignment</li><li>Ensure project deliverable’s are submitted as per planned schedule</li><li>Ensure interfaces/requirements between all disciplines are incorporated where required, to achieve objectives.</li><li>Report project progress of close-out on weekly basis for presentation to management</li><li>Interpret clients' requirements.</li><li>Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.</li><li>Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to aid and technical support.</li><li>Evaluate, organize and prioritize workload within a schedule.</li><li>Able to demonstrate sufficient technical knowledge and awareness of details to be able to recognize when technical problems are developing in the various disciplines, and to initiate appropriate corrective actions.</li><li>Provide guidance and input during project implementation.</li><li>Participate in project reviews, Pre-Start-up Reviews etc as required.</li><li>Time to time review of technical proposals and make amendments as to make the proposal viable.</li><li>Attends all the company-organized training courses when invited.</li><li>Be aware of and obey the Company Health, Safety and Environmental, and Quality rules & perform the activities as per company Standards. Ensures safe, quality, timely and cost-efficient project implementation Ensures high resource capacity utilization and efficiency in projects.</li><li>Suggests training and improvements on need basis.</li><li>Ensures that software for projects are available and efficiently utilized</li><li>Acts as frontline towards customers and subcontractors, suppliers in projects</li><li>Reports efficiently, timely and pro-actively to the management on project activities, deviations and achievements (minimum weekly basis)</li><li>Measures and reports reliably projects progress (PoC), productivity efficiency, remaining work, cost and time in order to have proper and trustworthy revenue and cost recognition and financial (Gross Margin) forecasting.</li><li>Suggests and implements timely and actively improvements in overall performance.</li><li>Leads project control, engineering and procurement work in his/her projects.</li><li>Ensures the agreed project deliverables are delivered in accordance to agreed quality, scope and schedule.</li><li>Verifies all scope variations from scope, time and cost perspective, and presents them to management.</li><li>Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Energy and Environmental objectives.</li></ul>Preferred Skills & Requirements<ul><li>Engineering Graduate (BSc. or MSc.)</li><li>Minimum of 15 years relevant experience in Project Management and Control out of which a minimum 10 years in the Oil & Gas (onshore and/or offshore), Refining, Petrochemical, and Chemical Industries</li><li>Experienced in all stages of project delivery (Studies, FEED, and Detail Engineering)</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills</li><li>Excellent people management skills with a solid understanding of customer interface</li><li>Willingness and ability to meet tight deadlines</li><li>Willingness to overcome challenges and pressure during peak activities</li><li>Fluent in the English language, both verbal and written</li><li>Shares the company vision of “Home of the Learning Minds”, and values such as teamwork, transparency, honesty, diversity, and equality</li><li>Team player, hardworking, problem solver, and have a can-do attitude.
