With a parent company boasting more than 80 years of engineering expertise, we are proud to bring Nordic engineering heritage to the region blending cutting-edge technology with a longstanding tradition of quality and reliability.</p><p>We are now looking for a <strong>Lead Piping Engineer </strong>execute projects and support bids in Abu Dhabi - UAE.</p><p><strong>Job Overview</strong></p><p>The Lead Piping Engineer is responsible for handling piping design review and lay-out assignments normally involving a major project or several smaller or less complex projects. These projects by nature of their complexity and difficulty require the fully competent application of conventional knowledge in oil & gas.</p><p>In your role, you will execute piping design deliverables in projects in a safe manner, budget, schedule, and quality.</p><p>You should have a desire to work on multi-discipline local as well overseas projects and be able to drive discipline goals by working together with assigned discipline designers and engineers.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities and Duties</strong></p><ul><li><p>Interact with the Design Discipline Piping Engineer and the project manager for solving technical problems arising during project development </p></li><li><p>Ability to review Client's technical documentation and requirements, interpret topographical and geotechnical survey inputs, carry out detailed site surveys, verification, and data collection; </p></li><li><p>Carry out lay-out study, tie-in, feasibility study, design basis, independently able to develop piping deliverables.</p></li><li><p>Must have good knowledge and understanding of piping drawings (layouts, GAD’s, isometrics, plot plan). </p></li><li><p>Able to organize inputs and supervise for preparation of piping drawings, support design, material take-offs</p></li><li><p>Understand the interface within the multi-discipline project </p></li><li><p>Should take full responsibility for proper and timely execution of project deliverables ensuring full compliance with the quality management system and any project-specific contractual requirements. </p></li><li><p>Ensures effective communications among other engineering disciplines and project management teams. </p></li><li><p>Coordinate with members of the piping discipline, other engineering disciplines within the organization or project team as well as with Clients, third parties, vendors, etc. </p></li><li><p>Participates in progress review meetings and be aware of project status, progress, delays, change notices, performance measurement, lessons learned, and close-out. </p></li><li><p>Ability to prepare documents for piping related workshops such as model reviews for lay-out and actively participate in the same </p></li><li><p>Should be able to add value plus/ optimization ideas </p></li><li><p>Check the piping engineering deliverables created by draughtsman. </p></li><li><p>Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Energy and Environmental objectives </p></li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Skills & Requirements</strong></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Technical related degree. </p></li><li><p>Minimum of 15+ years relevant engineering experience in Piping Design Engineering ASME B31.3. </p></li><li><p>Software Skills: SP3D, MicroStation & AutoCAD and Min. 5 years in senior role.</p></li><li><p>Good verbal as well written communication skills, leadership and coordination, analytic and pro-active approach competence in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Chemical Industries. </p></li><li><p>Willingness to overcome challenges and pressure during the peak of the project. </p></li><li><p>Willing to do extensive site-surveys during project execution. </p></li><li><p>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills </p></li><li><p>Fluent in the English language </p></li><li><p>Shares the company values of teamwork, transparency, honesty, and equality </p></li><li><p>Team player, hardworking, problem solver and have a can-do attitude</p></li></ul><p>Our work is guided by our vision: <em>Home of the learning minds</em>.
