Office & Administration Manager
St Leonards, Australia
- Full time
- On-site
About the role
We’re looking for an organised, proactive and people-focused Office & Administration Manager to help keep our growing business running smoothly. This is an opportunity to take ownership of our admin support, lead a small administration team and bring structure, consistency and energy to the way we work.
This is a full-time, office-based position, working five days per week from our St Leonards office. Being present and accessible to our team is an important part of the role, allowing you to build strong working relationships and provide hands-on support across the business.
We’re a collaborative engineering consultancy that values clever thinking, strong relationships and delivering great outcomes for our clients. We’re looking for someone who enjoys being at the heart of the business, making life easier for others and finding smarter ways to get things done.
What you’ll be doing
No two days will look exactly the same. You’ll play a key role in keeping our people, processes and office operations running at their best.
- Lead and develop our administration team – coordinate workloads, set clear expectations, support development and build a collaborative, responsive team.
- Keep our office running smoothly – oversee day-to-day office operations, facilities, suppliers, equipment and general office requirements.
- Improve processes and systems – identify opportunities to simplify administration, reduce duplication and create more efficient ways of working.
- Coordinate business support – oversee onboarding logistics, travel bookings, internal and client events, and office-related requirements.
- Coordinate marketing activity – work closely with our part-time Marketing & Communications Assistant to keep agreed campaigns, social content, website updates and deadlines on track.
- Support our people and leadership team – provide reliable, professional support to Directors and employees, anticipating needs and following through on commitments.
- Take ownership and solve problems – spot potential issues early, use your initiative and make sure things get done without needing to be constantly prompted.
What we’re looking for
You’re someone who enjoys taking ownership, bringing people together and creating structure in a busy environment. You’re comfortable balancing the bigger picture with the practical details that keep a business moving.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Demonstrated experience in office management, administration team leadership or a similar operational support role.
- Experience leading a team, including allocating workloads, providing feedback and developing others.
- Ideally, you’ll have some experience in marketing or marketing coordination, as the role includes providing day-to-day guidance and managing the workflow of our part-time Marketing & Communications Assistant. Experience using PDF Exchange and/or Canva would also be beneficial.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities without losing sight of the details.
- A practical, solutions-focused mindset and a genuine interest in improving how things are done.
- Confident communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with people at all levels.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams, with the confidence to learn new systems and technology.
- Most importantly, you’re proactive, approachable and dependable. You take pride in doing things well, communicate openly and enjoy helping others succeed.
Why join Partridge?
- Strong work-life balance – we genuinely value people having a life outside work, and we don’t have a culture of working late.

- Friday drinks and snacks.
- Employee rewards and recognition initiatives.
- Team sports including soccer and touch football.
- Weekly fresh fruit in the office.
- Monthly birthday cakes, pastries and photo competitions.
- The option to purchase additional annual leave each year, giving you more time to spend with family, enjoy a longer break or travel and explore new places.
- Quarterly social events, onsite massages and a memorable annual Christmas celebration.
