Design & Estimation Engineer – KNX

<h2><br>Job Purpose</h2><p>Responsible for designing, estimating, and supporting KNX-based building automation and control systems, including preparation of technical designs, BOQs, quotations, and project documentation.</p><h2>Roles &amp; Responsibilities</h2><ul><li><p>Design KNX-based building automation and control systems.</p></li><li><p>Prepare system architecture, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.</p></li><li><p>Develop BOQs, material take-offs, and project cost estimates.</p></li><li><p>Select suitable KNX devices, sensors, actuators, controllers, and accessories.</p></li><li><p>Prepare technical and commercial quotations based on project requirements.</p></li><li><p>Review project specifications, drawings, and tender documents.</p></li><li><p>Program and configure KNX systems using <strong>ETS software</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Conduct site surveys and verify technical requirements.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate with consultants, MEP teams, contractors, suppliers, and internal departments.</p></li><li><p>Support installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and project handover.</p></li><li><p>Prepare technical submittals, datasheets, method statements, and as-built documentation.</p></li><li><p>Track project quantities, costs, variations, and procurement requirements.</p></li><li><p>Ensure designs comply with project specifications and applicable KNX standards.</p></li></ul><h2>Desired Candidate Profile</h2><ul><li><p>Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automation Engineering, or related field.</p></li><li><p>Experience in <strong>KNX design, estimation, programming, and commissioning</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Strong working knowledge of <strong>ETS software</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Experience preparing BOQs, quotations, technical submittals, and cost estimates.</p></li><li><p>Good understanding of building automation, lighting control, HVAC integration, and electrical systems.</p></li><li><p>Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and project specifications.</p></li><li><p>Strong coordination, analytical, and communication skills.</p></li><li><p>UAE experience in KNX or building automation projects will be an advantage.</p></li></ul>
