Engineer-E&I

Position Summary:

Coperion is seeking a skilled and motivated PLC Design Engineer for a full-time, on-site position at our Noida location within the Automation / Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Department. The role involves designing, developing, programming, and commissioning PLC-based automation systems for industrial applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial automation, PLC programming, electrical control systems, and instrumentation, along with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, efficient, and high-quality automation solutions.

Work You’ll Do:

· Prepare PLC control panel General Arrangement (GA) drawings using EPLAN and AutoCAD.

· Develop and maintain Bill of Material (BOM) for control panels and automation systems.

· Prepare I/O Lists, I/O Mapping and Instrument Index documents as per P&ids.

· Develop Cause & Effect matrices and interlock charts.

· Prepare PLC Logic Diagrams, as per Functional Design Specifications (FDS) or control narratives.

· Design wiring diagrams, terminal drawings, cable schedules and loop diagrams.

· Coordinate with Process, Electrical and Instrumentation teams during project execution.

· Support FAT, SAT, commissioning and troubleshooting activities.

Team:

This role will be part of the Automation / Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Department Team.

Basic Qualifications:

• B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation or related discipline.
• Hands-on experience in EPLAN Electric P8 and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider, ABB PLC systems etc.
• Experience in preparation of GA, BOM, I/O List, Cause & Effect and Logic Diagrams.
• Knowledge of panel design, field instrumentation and industrial communication protocols.
• Understanding of IEC/IS standards and engineering documentation.

Preferred Experience

• 3-4 years’ experience in DCS, SCADA, PLC panels, process industries, oil & gas.
