Job Title Category Specialist Section Category Division Commercial Department Strategic Sourcing Reports to Senior Category Specialist JOB PURPOSE Support the Head of Category in executing category strategies, lead complex sourcing projects, and manage supplier relationships for assigned categories. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Management Systems Awareness of Company Integrated Management Systems (Quality; Environment; Occupational Health & Safety; Responsible Care; & Energy Management Systems; and IFA Product Stewardship) Comply with all the relevant policies and procedures of Company Integrated Management Systems. QAFCO Strategy Awareness of Company Vision, Mission, Strategic Map & Core Values. Procurement Operations & Transactional Support Conduct daily procurement operations: prepare RFQs, evaluate bids, issue POs, and follow up with suppliers. Support implementation of category strategies and sourcing projects. Supplier & Contract Administration Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, delivery, and quality issues. Assist in contract administration, renewals, and compliance monitoring. Data Management & Reporting Collect and analyze data on category spend, supplier performance, and compliance. Prepare regular reports for the category team and management. Stakeholder & Team Support Liaise with internal stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure procurement needs are met. Support Senior Category Specialist and Head of Category in sourcing and improvement initiatives. Compliance & Continuous Improvement Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and safety standards. Identify opportunities for process improvement and support adoption of new technologies. Innovation & Technology Adoption Utilize digital tools and support implementation of new technologies, including AI, to improve procurement efficiency. Strategic Alignment & Value Creation Ensure procurement activities contribute to company objectives and value creation. Cost Savings, Productivity & Efficiency Contribute to cost-saving initiatives and process improvements to enhance productivity. Innovation & Technology Adoption Promote use of AI, automation, and digital tools to optimize category management. Implement new technologies to improve efficiency and data-driven decision-making National Talent Development: Train and mentor fresh graduates. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE Qualification Required P Technical Non-Technical Higher Secondary School (12 years) Diploma (12+2 years) Advanced Diploma/Equivalent (12+3 years) Bachelor's Degree (12+4 years) ü ü ü Professional Certification if available (preferred) Other Qualification (Please specify) Remarks Bachelor's degree in relevant field. Professional certification (CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent) will be added as an advantage. 3–5 years direct and relevant experience.
