Investment Associate - Agriculture Industry - 1-Year Engagement

<p><strong>Location:</strong> Muscat, Oman.<br><strong>Years of Experience:</strong> 5+ years.<br><strong>Project Duration:</strong> 1 year.<br><strong>Working Arrangement: </strong>on-site.<br><strong>Language Requirements:&nbsp;</strong>Fluency in English (written and spoken).<br><br></p>

<p>The Investment Associate will play a hands-on role in originating, evaluating, structuring, and executing investment transactions across the organization's target sectors, with a strong focus on agriculture and its adjacent value chains. The role requires a rigorous quantitative skill set built in investment banking and/or private equity, combined with the judgment to assess strategic and operational fit across M&amp;A, greenfield, and brownfield opportunities. The Associate will work closely with senior deal leads and cross-functional teams (Finance, Legal, GRC, ICV &amp; ESG) to move transactions from sourcing through to execution and post-close monitoring.&nbsp;</p>

<h2>Key Requirements:</h2>

<ul>

<li>5+ years of experience.</li>

<li>Proven experience in investment banking.</li>

<li>Demonstrated strength in financial modelling and valuation.</li>

<li>Strong experience in deal execution.</li>

<li>Prior exposure to the agriculture industry.</li>

</ul>

<h2>Preferred Qualifications:</h2>

<ul>

<li>Private equity experience is highly recommended, ideally spanning M&amp;A, sourcing and origination, deal structuring, and execution end-to-end.</li>

<li>Background in logistics/cold-chain or consumer sectors (FMCG/B2C).</li>

<li>Consulting experience.</li>

<li>MBA and/or CFA.</li>

</ul>

<h2>Other Qualifications:</h2>

<ul>

<li>Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.</li>

<li>Strong analytical and commercial judgment</li>

<li>Excellent written and verbal communication, including committee-level reporting</li>

<li>Ability to manage multiple transactions and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment</li>

<li>High attention to detail and integrity in handling confidential deal information</li>

</ul>

<h2>Key Responsibilities:</h2>

<ul>

<li>Lead and support financial modelling and valuation for prospective transactions, including DCF, comparable company, precedent transaction, and LBO-style analyses.</li>

<li>Originate and screen investment opportunities across M&amp;A, greenfield, and brownfield formats, building and maintaining a live deal pipeline.</li>

<li>Support end-to-end deal execution: due diligence coordination, deal structuring, negotiation support, and closing documentation.</li>

<li>Prepare investment memoranda, business cases, and board- or committee-level materials to support investment decisions.</li>

<li>Conduct sector research and competitive benchmarking across agriculture, cold-chain/logistics, and consumer (FMCG/B2C) segments.</li>

<li>Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Finance, Legal, GRC, ICV &amp; ESG) and external advisors (banks, consultants, legal counsel) throughout the deal lifecycle.</li>

<li>Track portfolio and post-investment performance against investment theses and value-creation plans.</li>

<li>Contribute to the continuous refinement of investment frameworks, valuation templates, and screening criteria.</li>
